LPC Supervision in Houston, TX

Welcome! Congratulations on passing your LPC exam and taking this step to become a fully Licensed Professional Counselor.

I am currently accepting new LPC associates in the state of Texas.

I am interviewing new licensed professional counselor associates!

What should you look for when seeking an LPC supervisor?

When looking for an LPC supervisor, knowing your career goals and what you hope to get out of your experience is essential. Having the guidance of a supervisor that is available, resourceful, and encouraging is critical as an associate to help you identify and accomplish your career goals and your overall goal of becoming a fully licensed LPC.

You must pick a supervisor who can guide you through your journey as a new therapist and help you access the knowledge and resources you would like to acquire to be a fully licensed LPC.

What are my areas of specialty and theoretical orientation?

I have worked in different settings and had different experiences throughout my 14 years as a mental health therapist. My current specialties are trauma, anxiety, mood disorder, depression, and family/couples counseling. I am a trained Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist.

I am a trauma-informed therapist who uses EMDR and Cognitive Behavior Therapy daily. I am currently in private practice, and most of my clients have a history of trauma. In the past, I have worked in drug rehabilitation centers and school districts.

If you decide to work with me, you will have flexible meeting times, a biweekly newsletter, and a reference letter after the internship. Finding a supervisor is a critical step in your career journey, and I would love to walk with you on it.

How much does supervision cost?

I charge a flat rate whether I meet in a group or individually. The rate is $75 per hour per meeting.

What should I expect from supervision?

Supervision is based on your individual needs, and the focus tends to vary based on those needs and where you are in your development as a therapist. At times we will discuss client cases, may earn CEUS/learn new information, apply and discuss ethics in our daily practice, discuss possible employment opportunities, and learn to manage stress as a new clinician. During the first meeting, we meet together and discuss the goals you hope to accomplish as an LPC Associate under supervision.
